Membership register: registration / removal

An application to join the Medical Chamber of Montenegro must be submitted to the Chamber's administrative service using the prescribed form and the required supporting documents, in accordance with Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Rules on Registration with the Medical Chamber of Montenegro.

The President of the Chamber issues a registration decision within 30 days of receiving a complete and justified application.

Upon registration, a medical doctor becomes a member of the Chamber and acquires all rights and obligations established by its Statute and general acts.

Members are required to:

  • Comply with the law, the Statute, the Code of Medical Ethics and Deontology, and other regulations adopted by the Chamber's bodies.
  • Keep up to date with scientific and practical developments in medicine.
  • Inform the Chamber of changes to their professional title, citizenship, workplace or employment status, and other facts relevant to their licence to practise or membership.
  • Comply with requests made by the Chamber within its remit.
  • Provide healthcare conscientiously and professionally.
  • Uphold the reputation of the medical profession.
  • Pay membership fees regularly.
  • Fulfil other obligations under the law and the Statute.

Members must notify the Chamber of any changes to their registered information.

When membership ends in circumstances specified by law and the Chamber's general acts, the member is removed from the Register of Medical Doctors and the Register of Licences.
