EXECUTIVE BOARD

is the Chamber body responsible for managing the Chamber’s work and operations. The Executive Board has 9 members, elected and dismissed by the Assembly on the proposal of at least one third of Assembly delegates or at least 50 Chamber members. The Executive Board members elect their Chair and Deputy Chair from among themselves at the first meeting. Members of Chamber bodies serve a four-year term.

The Executive Board has the following responsibilities:

1) adopts:
- Rules on the organisation and classification of posts in the Professional Service,
- Rules on the production, safekeeping, use and destruction of the Chamber’s seals and stamps,
- Rules on office administration,
- Rules on co-financing members’ professional development,
- Rules on salaries and allowances,
- Rules on the design, content and issuing of membership cards,
- Rules of procedure of the Executive Board,
- other general acts where no other Chamber body has been assigned competence,
2) proposes:
- the Chamber’s work plan and programme for the following year,
- the Chamber’s activity report for the preceding calendar year,
- the Chamber’s financial plan for the following calendar year,
- the Chamber’s final accounts for the preceding calendar year,
- the purchase, sale or lease of real estate owned by the Chamber,
- the pledging of assets owned by the Chamber,
- the Chair, members and alternate members of the Central Electoral Commission,
3) appoints:
- the President, Deputy President and members of the Court of Honour,
- the chairs, deputy chairs and members of the Chamber’s three-member committees,
- Chamber representatives in other organisations and bodies;
- members of the working bodies it establishes;
4) elects the chairs, deputy chairs and members of the Chamber’s seven-member committees;
5) manages the Chamber’s funds in accordance with the annual financial plan;
6) approves decisions by the President of the Chamber to enter into transactions with a net value exceeding EUR 5,000.00 (five thousand euros), up to and including EUR 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand euros);
7) establishes proposals for general acts adopted by the Assembly;
8) proposes to the Assembly the amounts of membership fees, registration fees and charges for Chamber services;
9) decides at second instance in administrative proceedings, in accordance with the law and the Chamber’s general acts;
10) cooperates with state authorities, professional associations and other institutions;
11) provides opinions and participates in drafting laws, planning documents and other regulations affecting the development of medicine, healthcare and the profession;
12) performs other tasks entrusted to it by the Assembly.
