Dear members of the Medical Chamber of Montenegro,

We would like to inform you that the Chamber has launched the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), recognising their essential importance to modern medical practice. SOPs underpin improvements in healthcare quality and safety by providing clearly defined professional standards, protecting physicians’ professional integrity and further safeguarding patients’ rights and safety.

This initiative is of particular importance to Montenegro’s healthcare system and aims to establish consistent, professional and sustainable standards for everyday medical practice.

The Ministry of Health promptly supported the initiative, and an expert commission was formed with representatives of the Chamber, the Ministry of Health, the Clinical Centre of Montenegro and other relevant healthcare institutions. Implementation began with the engagement of a distinguished and qualified consultant to ensure high professional and methodological standards in developing the procedures.

We would also like to inform you that the Chamber and the Ministry of Health are sharing the project’s costs equally.
